Brand Profile
|
Starting in 1980, the Trinidad Fundadores cigar had been produced exclusively for Fidel Castro. The only boxes that left Cuba were gifts to foreign diplomats. On February of 1998, when it was presented in Havana during the annual Habanos gala in which the “Hombre Habano del Año” Awards are given, the Trinidad cigar brand was officially launched as an export in Trinidad, Cuba. The cigars were first made available in Canada and Mexico in April 1998, and later became available to the world cigar market.
The Cuban Trinidad cigar line originally featured just one size, the Trinidad Fundadore, which means Founder. It's similar in size to the Cuban Cohiba Lancero cigar, measuring a ring guage of 40 and a length of 7 3/4 inches.
Named after one of Cuba's most beautiful cities, the Trinidad cigar is produced only in the El Laguito cigar factory, and packaged in boxes of 24 cigars.
Trinidad cigars are superb-quality Havanas. These Medium to full-bodied Cuban cigars are classed as among the rarest and most sought after cigars in the world. |
