Only 1,500 were made and each Sopranos Limited Edition Tony Soprano Signature Humidor has a number plate indicating the unique number of the humidor. No more will ever be produced. Styled in the form of a classic American car trunk in high gloss black finish. The Tony Soprano Signature Humidor is fully lined in Spanish cedar, has a removable cigar tray with a Spanish cedar divider. The tray holes are cut in a random "bullet hole" pattern. The interior measures 13 x 8 1/4 x 4 inches. Unit comes with a velvet drawstring bag for safe storage. not included.

The Sopranos Join With C.A.O. to Make a Cigar
Woke up this morning, got yourself a cigar.
America's favorite mob show, The Sopranos, has always been cigar friendly. Boss Tony Soprano, played by James Gandolfini, lights up an unbanded robusto as the show's opening credits play, favors are sometimes repaid with boxes of coronas and Italian dinners typically conclude with puffs of cigar smoke (and, sometimes, gun smoke.)
Now the show you cannot refuse has it's own cigar: C.A.O. The Sopranos Edition. Boutique cigarmaker C.A.O. International Inc. announced late today in a Cigar Aficionado exclusive that it would unveil the new line at the Retail Tobacco Dealers of America Trade Show on August 7. It's the first time that Home Box Office has licensed a cigar for the series.
Sopranos cigars are made with Brazilian Mata Fina wrappers, Honduran binders, and fillers from Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, and Colombia. They are made in Honduras at C.A.O. Fabrica de Tabacos. The cigars come in three shapes, each named for a part of mob life: the CAO Sopranos Associate measures 5 inches by 52, the CAO Sopranos Soldier measures 6 by 54, and CAO Sopranos Boss cigar is 7 by 56.

The CAO Cx2 cigars external wrapper is aged Grade One Cameroon. The cigars second wrapper, used as a binder, is also Cameroon leaf. This luscious premium cigar employs a deliciously complex blend of sweet and earthy Jalapa Nicaraguan and Columbian long fillers inside the two top-grade Cameroon wrappers. The CAO Cx2 cigar delivers a smoking experience that highlights the rich, spicy-sweet flavor of Cameroon tobacco unlike any other cigar.
CAO Brazilia cigars were introduced in 2001 and immediately became bestseller. Made in Honduras, these cigars boast full bodied, powerful blend of tobaccos with a beautiful Brazilian wrapper which gives CAO Brazilia a full-bodied and full-flavored aroma with spice and complexity with a nice long finish.
Originally introduced in 1995, the CAO Black cigar was the first cigar in what would become a distinguished lineage of cigars bearing the CAO cigars name. Re-introduced in 2002, the CAO Black cigar has been resurrected for the cigar cognoscenti.
The CAO Black cigar is Individually dressed in cedar sleeves and packaged in hand-painted boxes, the CAO Black is medium-bodied and layered with big, rich flavors that tantalize the palate with notes of pepper and wood.
Other cigars in the CAO range include CAO MX2 cigars (maduro times two) features two aged maduro wrappers in a blend that combines only the best tobaccos from six different countries. The outer cigar wrapper is a well-fermented Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro, while the second wrapper, used as a binder, is a spicy Brazilian maduro. The fillers are a sweet and picante mixture of exquisite tobaccos from Nicaragua, Honduras, Dominican Republic and Peru. The result is a taste layered with rich, intense and vibrant flavors. CAO, one of the world's foremost premium cigar manufacturers, was awarded a 91 (OUTSTANDING) rating for its CAO Italia Novella cigar in the February issue of Cigar Aficionado magazine, widely regarded as the ultimate authority on premium cigars.
Furthermore, CAO Italia Novella made the distinguished list of "The Best Cigars of 2006", as chosen by Cigar Aficionado. Of the hundreds of cigars rated by both Cigar Aficionado and Cigar Insider over the previous 12 months, only 25 were selected for this distinction. Placing 13th on the list of the year's Top 25 cigars, CAO Italia Novella was rated higher than such legendary Cuban brands as Montecristo cigars , Punch cigars and Diplomaticos cigars. Robb Report, the magazine dedicated to the luxury lifestyle, selected CAO Italia cigars as one of the "Best of the Best" cigars of the year for 2005. CAO Italia cigars are available in four shapes: CAO Italia Novella (4 1/2 x 46), CAO Italia Ciao (5 x 56), CAO Italia Gondola (6 1/4 x 54 torpedo), and CAO Italia Piazza (6 x 60).
CAO Criollo cigars are the much heralded line from CAO which uses the hybrid seed known as Criollo 98. Characterized by a bold and full flavored wrapper, the CAO Criollo cigar is comparable to some of the Top Cuban cigars we see from Habanos. The wrappers of CAO Criollo cigars are blended with a mix of premium Nicaraguan tobaccos to give the CAO Criollo an earthy and spicy aroma that is medium to full bodied.
CAO Extreme cigars have a 93 rating from Cigar Insider. The L'Anniversaire line was launched to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of the CAO brand, and the CAO Extreme is the third cigar within this line. This is a wonderfully dark and rich full-bodied cigar. Don't be fooled by the name Extreme - as they are not and overpowering cigars. Rather they are extreme in their complexity of flavors and depth only.CAO Extreme cigars are a blend of five different Nicaraguan fillers, a Nicaraguan binder and thick, oily, Ecuadorian Sumatra seed wrappers.
One of CAOs first cigar lines, the CAO Gold cigar is a mild-to-medium bodied cigar. As with all CAO cigars, the CAO Gold cigar line has become extremely popular, and is one of the best selling boutique cigar lines.
CAO Gold cigars are characterized by a smooth draw, and a mellow aroma of toasted nuts and vanilla, with a finish of subtle pepper tones and anise. An excellent introduction to the CAO range of premium cigars. |
